Advancing Human Rogue

Ok just started playing a few days ago, so still learning a lot and hoping I haven't made any irreversible mistakes.

Right now I have finished the first campaign and starting in on the second one.
Have competed in just a couple online matches against higher level opponents (one of which let me win twice to get started)

L52 (8503/8840)
37148 gold

100 hp
156 energy
2 might
3 resistance
9 regeneration

1 scholarship
1 battle reputation
1 battle glory
1 battle dexterity
1 healing infusions

Currently Training:
Human Vitality
Human Protection
Poison Curse

Cards of note:
The 3 Elf, Human, Orc Heroic Cards
Death Trap and Haunting for Mythical

Shadow Strike x3
Strategy Excellence x3
Trap x3
Rum x1
Prayer x1
Mystify x3
Honor Guidance x2
Dispel x2

Devotion x2
Enlightenment x2
Poison Mystery x2
Toughness x2
Wisdom x2

Tons of the lower cards, I could tank most of the elves during the campaign and just draw and draw endlessly, no guarantees I have all the lower cards since I am still learning, but pretty sure I have most.

My normal play is,
Round one - Setup
Round two - Shadow Dominance IV
Round three - Orcish Poison
Round four - Orcish Poison
Round five - Kings Strength
Round six+ - Kings Strength + any damage cards I can draw

This has worked fine for the end of the first Campaign and the start of the second campaign, but....
As I get into opponents (npc) that are higher than 300hp and have either high resistance and/or regeneration it comes to a stalemate where neither of us can damage the other enough
Or worse an opponent that deals enough damage to kill me off before the 3rd or 4th round

Still learning about online challenges so not even sure where to start there......

So.... What should I do strategically going forward from here?
Spend the money gambling on more cards?
Spend the money training Skills?

Learn how to use the cards I have better and keep hording what I have?

The second campaign seems to be mostly money prizes, so not really leveling anymore.... Should I expect to reach higher levels, or will I be in the low 50s for a while now that I have reached this point?

Thanks for any advice :)

I got up to ~120k gold and spent it all gambling.
I got 10+ mythical cards so will see if they help me at all :)
(I think I just have one boss left on the second campaign)

Hello Narfi,

First of all, it is always useful to write your user name in game so your stats can be checked directly, not only from this thread.

Second, you are right, you made mistakes, but not irreversible. :-) You can always reset your hero when you will go into your hero profile and section "Stats". There is reset button on bottom of page.

Generally (not true just for Rogues, but for all heroes) always be careful about how much points cost increase of some stats attribute. Definitely every hero needs to increase HP (Hit Points) and EN (ENergy), but beside that, be very careful about stats MI (MIght) RES (RESistance) and REG (REGeneration). For Rogues they cost to increase by one level MI 11, RES 7 and REG 11 skill points. This also means, that increasing MI and REG is very ineffective way of spending skill points, only RES comes into evaluation. So I would suggest you to reset your hero and spend skill points only on HP, EN and eventually RES. However some Rogues do not recommend spending points in RES, because some heroes have effective way, how do decrease RES bonus (at example Orcs Mythical card Shattering Strike decrease 35 points of RES for one turn). I think, it is matter of personal taste and viable option, it just depends on your own strategy.

Otherwise you are doing fine, you are using strong combos and have 10 mythical cards and heroic cards. Your deck can not get much better at this moment. Just note, that you are not using Shadow Dominance IV, but only Shadow Dominance III. Level of that combo depends on level of your special card and at hero level 52, your special card is Immobilize III not Immobilize IV.

If you have extra gold to spend, focus on skills now. Your deck will not get much stronger when you already have all important cards. Just finish 2nd campaign to get Royal Blood heroic card.

That is my quick review, but I am not Rogue specialist, so take my comments with reserve. :-) If you have more questions, do not hesitate to ask.

Best regards

Finished all 3 campaigns now, and am training in every skill (some on 2nd level of training)

I am level 65 now and not sure what to do for progression after this.....

I will keep doing the daily quest for 1k, but that is kind of a slow booring road.

Is it only pvp after this or is there other solo content hidden somewhere?

Edit: Ingame name is same as here.... Narfi

Well still having fun... but not sure what to do next......

It seems that after the 3 storyline quests there isn't much to do besides pvp, but there aren't many players online during the times that I am. (Alaska)

For example, I am #1 in most gold and most experience gained this month, but I was just learning and making mistakes.... I would have expected that someone that knew how to play and was starting a fresh character would have done alot better.

The most cards I have been able to play in one round is 15 so far (not any good combos just most cards in play at once)

What is the best you guys have gotten?

If there is a good guild in North America times that is taking recruits let me know, that seems to be the only part I haven't explored so far.
(I did create a new guild to see the interface but nothing you can do without more than 1 person, so I disbanded it)

Question for the devs: Do you have more plans for solo content for times when there aren't enough others online for matches?

Any other suggestiosn from anyone?
Best way to level up is just doing the 'training matches' and accepting as many online matches as possible?

Thanks for any suggestions,

Well, I have one suggestion for you Narfi. If you find too few players online in American server, come to Europe server. There are more players. You can always switch between servers forth and back. If you will not like it on Europe server, you can go back to America server again.

Best regards

Someone had said in in chat that they were going to merge the two servers in order to help with the population issues... when is that going to happen or was it just a hopeful rumor?
