Topic 5: The Cards

Post by Essence Team » Thu Jan 17, 2013 3:07 pm

In this topic I'll talk about the cards in general.

1) The cards differ from one another in many indicators.
2) The first indicator is the card type. The cards can be:
a) Hero special cards. Each hero character has a hero special card, which differs from the hero special cards of the other hero characters. This special hero card has the following properties:
- it doesn't cost any Energy Points.
- it is always available and can be used whenever you want in whatever turn you want.
- it can be used only once per combat.
- it cannot be drawn from the Random Deck, nor can be stored in the Collector Deck, nor can bought through card packs, nor can be found in the Game of Luck, nor dismissed, nor can actually be part of your hand.
- each hero from the same hero character type possesses the same special hero card.
- it is located in the bottom left part of the table (left to the buff area, below the active card area)
b) Buff cards, which can be equipped in the buff area
c) Regular cards, which are all the rest cards, which:
- can be found in one way or another
- can be stored in the Collector Deck
- are collected in the hand during the combat
- can be played in Attack / Defense phases in the play area
3) The second indicator is the card class. The cards can be:
a) Common for all. These cards (buff or regular) can be played by all the existing hero characters.
b) Common for melee. These cards can be played by all the melee hero characters (currently the Orc Warrior is the only melee hero character).
c) Common for range. These cards can be played by all the range hero characters (currently the Human Rogue is the only range hero character).
d) Common for caster. These cards can be played by all the caster hero characters (currently the Elf Keeper is the only caster hero character).
e) For Orc Warrior. These cards can be played only by the hero character Orc Warrior.
f) For Human Rogue. These cards can be played only by the hero character Human Rogue.
g) For Elf Keeper. These cards can be played only by the hero character Elf Keeper.
4) The third indicator is the card quality. The cards can be (from the less valuable to the most valuable):
a) Normal cards
b) Rare cards
c) Elite cards
d) Epic cards
e) Mythical cards
f) Heroic cards
5) As the card gets more and more valuable (it's quality gets higher), the chance to be found in the Random Deck decreases.
6) The only cards, that doesn't have a card quality are the hero special cards (see point 2.a from this topic)
7) The Heroic cards cannot be found in the Random Deck (all the rest can). The Heroic cards are given as a trophy when you kill the bosses of each of the three races in the Single Player Campaign (King Caradan, Queen Ennoria and Waynek The Strongest)
8) The Normal cards, the Mythical cards and the Heroic cards cannot be found in the card packs in the Market.
9) The Heroic cards cannot be found in the Game of Luck.
10) If you have drawn a card from the Random Deck into your hand, that cannot be played by your hero character, will be dimmed. This is indication that it cannot be played. It also cannot be collected in the Collector Deck.
11) You will not found cards, that cannot be played by your hero character in the card packs or in the Game of Luck.
12) Each card has at least one card attribute.
13) Some cards can participate in one or more combo with another card or cards.
14) You can check all the currently available cards in the game in the Catalog section.

That's it, check the other topics as well!
