How to gain money with Eldhelm

Post by ShowNoMercy » Wed Jan 04, 2017 1:05 pm

Andrey, of course you developed this game to gain money too..

In order to spend money in a game, I have to desire to play this game and win...

How can I desire to spend real money in a game with no player on line?

So, you may agree we need a lot of players in the game.

You can do a statistic and probably end up that every 10 players:

5 will spend no money
4 will spend few money
1 will spend lot of money

So if you want real money from players you Need around 10000 players.

Look at the lobby, if u want player on line u need a reason to go on line.

Reason 1 - Gold and Experience

- Beast

Give 1 experience point for every turn we survive
Give 1 gold for every damage we deal
lose 1 gold for every damage or bonus damage negated (not blocked but reduced)
Limit to 10000 gold a day, rather than 1 beast a day if u don't want to be abused (no limit to experience, we want player to wake up at night to do the beast)

- daily quest

Soo boring

It can work like the beast, but since the hero is little u get few gold.we want player to play, we want player on line, more player on line, more money in you wallet.

See you

Hi,

I am really sorry for my late reply :(
Eldhelm was never about making money...

Yes, maybe it is time to refresh the beast.
Giving experience is a good idea. I will consider it! :)

What's wrong exactly with the daily quests?
Why do you think it is so boring? What would you expect from a daily quest?

Regards,
Andrey

Thank you, to answer you:

Don't foul ourself, if it was not about making money it should be a completely free game which is not.

The problem with the beast is that it does not attract people anymore.
We had several people connecting every 3 hours to play the beast now we have 2/3 players per beast.
So we need to give players a reason to connect often again.
The one who survive the most must have lot of gold, as I said 1 gold per damage may be interesting.
Imagine the frustation we have now when I deal 3000 damage but another player kills the beast and get 2000 gold with just 600 damages.

What's wrong exactly with the daily quests?

Playing 9 games against AI to get less than 1000 gold is totally pointless.

I really digged this game so I'd suggest to take a look to shadow era, it is Always full of people.

Take Care

Marco

Hi,

When talking not to fool ourselves ...
Just running the game (having it online) costs money. Let's forget about it's development, support and improvement for a moment.
Would you spend hundreds of dollars every month (this makes thousands annually) just to have your online game running? I don't think so :)
To have a game survive for years it has to be sustainable in it's income. And that's the simple truth...

The algorithm which picks the winner in the beast will taken into account the player who dealt most damage.
Of course it is more sophisticated than this as some characters are designed more for survival rather than damage.
But if we compare two orcs, the one who deals more damage will be first.

The quest is daily. Meaning you can get the gold every day. Additionally you can fight the beast, mine from guilds, play in ranking and challenge. If you do all that you will surely get the daily bonus and even get decent amount from salvage. In the end this might add up to a few thousands of gold.
I wonder how much gold do you expect to get from a daily quest? What do you think will be fair?

Why would you suggest shadow era?
It's like suggesting Hearthstone. I guess you will find even more people there, and there are even blizcons and stuff :)

Regards,
